The number of links that go to directories make your link to them more valuable when search engines are calculating page rank. Directories are not organized by keywords. They use categories and sub-categories similar to classified listings and the Yellow Pages. They also offer free and paid submissions, featured links, home page featured links, reciprocal links, and no follow links.
